We will be talking about the Garmin Navigation device, but you will need to think about your basic needs. There are things for you to discover about Gps, Global Positioning System if you aren't familiar with technology and are thinking of buying one. Think about why you want it and how you want to use it first. Many cars do not have the built-in Gps that is found in some cars available today. So do you want one for cross country or regional travel or do you want one that you can hold in your hand and use for walking? These answers to these questions will help you narrow the field and decide what you want.

When it comes to consumer electronics, the ergonomics of the device must be considered. To address the new marketing demand, the Nuvi 3709T offers the convenience of fitting into a shirt pocket as well as the Pedestrian navigation mode. It is still a little early in the game to see if Garmin's latest release is a winner or not.

You can use the Nuvi 3790T anywhere you want to including your car. Another important note is that is fantastic to use while walking too. It has a very slender design and shape which makes it easy to carry. It doesn't surprise us that this unit has a feature called Pedestrian Mode. There are some nice features that make it great to use in your car or truck that Garmin was smart to include. A mount for the window as well as audio capabilities are standards that are offered with the Nuvi 3790T that makes it easy to use while driving. A neat feature it the Park Position Recall which allows the unit to remember where you parked your vehicle. You won't have to waste time wandering around that mall parking lot trying to remember where you parked your car because the Nuvi 3790T will navigate your directly to it. When you try to keep make things smaller, sometimes you have to forgo things in other areas. The Nuvi 3790T may have had this happen to it, but we don't know for sure. For example, this unit does not perform quite as fast as other Garmin Gps units. Other units from this company seem to have a faster signal capture time than this unit for some reason. We do understand there could have been other external factors at play. However, it wasn't just tested only one time at one location. One thing to think about is it was noticed that rather than the local secondary routes, the route algorithm seemed be taking cues from primary travel routes. That effect adds more time because when driving only on the main roads, it can take extra time.

There are so many features available that we can't cover them all in detail. If you need to make any kind of calculated conversion, there are various software applications available.

If you are looking for ideas of where to go when traveling around the country you can download photos from Garmin Connect and then just navigate to where suits you. That seems like such a slightly odd feature, but it could be convenient and fulfill a need with some people. Another feature is Garmin Lock, the anti-theft device and it also offers Garmin Garage where you can download customized security features. Garmin has released a real winner with their latest offering, the Nuvi 3790T. It's not just the smaller size that's a hit with users but also the sleek new design that makes this unit a real winner. Of course the Garmin name has become almost synonymous with hand-held Navigation device units and various marine electronics.

More and more people are starting to appreciate exactly what a wonderful combination a GPS and a Chevy Honda Civic make. And with the latest Global positioning system devices, you can fit them into any car you want. Check with your automobile seller to learn more.
